4. Nine Figs and a Simple Life | Slow Living in the Australian Bush
In this episode of my slow living vlog, I share a quiet month in the Australian bush — filled with sunrises, wildlife, wind, and small, meaningful moments.
From birds gathering at the water in the heat, to observing kangaroos, deer, and passing pigs, life here continues to remind me that we are part of something much bigger. Even in a time of drought, there is beauty, resilience, and a kind of quiet harmony.
This month also brought the first figs of the season — just nine in total, but each one a reminder of how little it takes to feel truly rich. Fresh fruit from a tree, grown in a pot, right outside my door… it’s hard not to feel grateful in moments like these.
As always, this vlog is a reflection on living simply, staying present, and finding peace in the everyday — even when life is uncertain, windy, or a little out of rhythm.
I also share a small update on my novel, a project that has been six years in the making, and where my focus is shifting in the coming months.
Thank you for being here and sharing this time with me.
